LUTHERING SCHOOL, LIBERIA, WEST AFRICA
A SCHOOL FAR FROM ‘INFRASTRUCTURE’, IN THE MIDDLE OF GREEN LAND AND FRESH AIR.
ON THE FARMS OF BONG MINE IN LIBERIA, WEST AFRICA IS WHERE CHILDREN COME TO LEARN.
The Luthering School on the Farm in Bongmines Liberia is the only school in quite a distance. About 100 Students walk up to four hours daily to attend.
The students pay the minimum of school fees. This helps pay the teachers salaries. Students also pay for their own school uniform, books and other necessities such as their lunch. Some parents struggle to make ends meet and are therefore forced to tell their little ones No, when it comes to a basic education.
Friskyness wants to raise a school fund: A water borehole needs to be built for clean drinking water, some students need financial support for paying school fees and necessities.
If you can, why not help?
Background: Joyce’s Grandmother and Granfather built and opened this school in 2012.
